Friday, May 6, 2016: Laurie P. Andrews PAWS Center Grand Opening

The City of Edinburg, the Edinburg Chamber and other community members joined in the grand opening of the The Laurie P. Andrews PAWS Center on Thursday, May 5, 2016. Palm Valley Animal Center’s Pet Adoption and Wellness Services (PAWS) facility will feature a public dog park opening this summer. The $3.9 million complex at 2451 N. US Expressway 281 is a no–kill facility focused on the adoption of companion pets as well as educating the community on properly caring for these animals.

The 28,000 sq. ft. facility will also focus on broadening the center’s Foster and Volunteer Programs. The organization has partnered with IDEA Public Schools and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Edinburg RGV to bring animal care education to Valley youth to help ensure a greater level of care for animals in the future.
