Gunther, Dawn, Lala, Tommy, Fluffy, & Beans

GuntherWhat’s up Valley? My name is Gunther and I’m a 4 year old, neutered, Rottweiler Blend. I was here in 2014 when one of the local rescues decided to take me in and get me out of Palm Valley and adopted into a family who was waiting for a boy like me. Somehow I was picked up by animal control about a month ago and was brought back to Palm Valley. They tried numerous times to contact my owner, but it just didn’t work out. So here I am up for adoptions again. This time while I am here waiting to be adopted, I was brought out to a play group a couple of times, which is very new to Palm Valley. It was the best thing ever. I got to play with other dogs my size and believe it or not, we all got along and just played like the dogs we are. I did wonderfully with all the other boys and girls up in adoptions. I’m also very potty trained and when anyone brings me outside for a bit, I do my business right away. I walk magnificently on a leash and would be a great walking or running partner if that’s what you’re looking for. Stop on by and get to know me. I am sure you will be glad that you did.

DawnHello everyone. My name is Dawn and I’m a 1 year old, female, Labrador Blend. I too was introduced to the play groups while I have been waiting for a new family to care and love me. I did so awesome that I was named as a helper dog. What that means is when other dogs come into the yard with all of us play, if they happen to do something inappropriate, I correct them and redirect them so they won’t have that bad habit after a while. Once everyone saw my potential, they quickly moved me to adoptions so I could find my forever family. I do great on a leash, great with others and I just enjoy playing around all day. I am very gentle when I am given a treat out in play groups as a reward for being such a “Rock Star”. So tell me this, are you looking for an attentive, curious, affectionate and energetic little girl? Well look no further because I am just a drive away just waiting to meet you.

LalaGood morning ladies and gentleman, my name is Lala and I’m a 1 year old, spayed, Terrier Blend. My story is a little different from most, but I will give you a quick rundown on how I ended up at Palm Valley. My previous owner had picked me up from a man who just couldn’t take care of me anymore. He saw how good I did with her dog and asked if she wanted to take me in. Since she has such a big heart she said yes. I was covered in fleas and ticks and she did everything she could to get rid of them for me. While she was treating me for the fleas, I started to get a bad reaction and my skin was becoming very irritated. She really didn’t know what else to do for me. Since she was actually going through her own personal issues at this time she realized she wouldn’t be able to care for me the way she wanted to. After a long and hard decision, she thought the best thing to do was contact Palm Valley to see if they could help. The great staff here took me in with open arms and started to work with me to get me in great health so I could find a new family to care for me. The help extended outside of Palm Valley to some of their very dedicated volunteers. They started me on a special diet and a wonderful volunteer donated about a month worth of the special food to go home with my new family. Now that I am fully recovered and totally potty trained I am in adoptions to find my new forever home and hopefully it could be with you.

TommyTommy in the house…..I’m a 2 year old, neutered, Domestic Shorthair Blend. I was picked up by Animal Control and brought here on April 4th of this year. Not to sound conceded, but I am AWESOME! I love to play with toys and other cats too. Plus I am super affectionate, so much so that they call me “Love Bug” over here. I will rub up against your leg to remind you I am right here with you, and if you should be sitting down I will jump right into your lap for even more attention. Come check me out, I’m not too small nor too big, I guess you can say I am perfect in every way. I must admit, I am super smart too. When I first got here, I had a little kitty cold going on so I had to be isolated away from everyone else. Believe it or not, I learned how to open the door to the kennel I was in so I didn’t have to be confined in such a little place. Believe me when I tell you, it’s not that easy to open. I bet I am one of those boys that could be trained real easily. Hope to see you soon!

FluffyWho is white, and fluffy, and looking for a forever home just like everyone here is? Yup, you guessed right, it’s me. My name is Fluffy and I’m an adult, female, Bunny. When you approach me to pet me, I may make a grunting noise, but I will just sit there and enjoy the attention. I would really prefer to go home with someone who is familiar with bunnies as being here I am just a little on edge. I am easily cared for as when you want to clean up after me, all you would need to do is transfer me into a large playpen and let me run around and play. So it’s a win-win for the both of us. Please ask one of my counselors to introduce us so that they could talk with you and let you know how to take care of me. Hopefully with a little education you will see just how great of a buddy I could be. I will be hanging out in the exotic room keeping an eye out for you.

BeansMy name is Bean, and I’m an adult, male, Ferret. Believe it or not, I was picked up off the streets and brought here. I am sure I was someone’s pet, but just happened to get away from them. I like to be picked up and carried like a baby, and get this, I actually will lick you. Everyone here cannot figure out what the licking is about. Some say maybe I am grooming them, and others believe my licking is little kisses. Either way they all seem to agree that it is the coolest thing they have ever experienced from a Ferret. I am in the room with my buddy Fluffy so come check the both of us out for a while. It may just be you might want to adopt one of us.
